The DEEPEN Project is part of EuMMC, a cluster of FP7 funded projects on multiscale modelling for nano-materials and systems by design. Part of the cluster activities includes the organisation of a series of workshops on multiscale simulation.

Past Events

  • Euro-TMCS II: Theory, Modelling, and Computational Methods for Semiconductors, 7th-9th December 2016, Cork (Ireland), coordinators: DEEPEN.
  • “Multiscale Simulation: from Materials through to Industrial Usage”, 5th - 7th September 2016, Dublin (Ireland), coordinators: DEEPEN, MMP, SimPhoNy, Modena.
  • 2nd Workshop on Software Solutions for ICME, 12th - 16th of April 2016, Barcelona (Spain), coordinator: ICMEg.
  • EuMMC Workshop on Interoperability/communication standards in Brussels on 26th November 2015.
  • CWA Workshop as 1st step in standardization path, coordinator MoDeNa.
  • DEEPEN led the organisation of a Symposium on 'Multi-scale Multi-Physics Modelling for Nanomaterials and Systems by Design' at MSE 2014 in Darmstadt (September 2014), in collaboration with the SimPhony and MMP projects. Further details of the symposium can be found on the MSE 2014 website.
  • The symposium was followed by the 2nd EuMMC Workshop, organised by MoDeNa and focused on integration concepts and platforms, and on standardization in the context of the cluster.
  • The 3rd EuMMC workshop on "Interoperability in Multiscale Modeling of Nano-enabled Materials", took place in Jyväskylä (May 2014), coordinated by SimPhoNy.
  • The 1st Workshop of the EU Multi-scale Modelling Cluster took place at the Industrial Technologies 2014 Conference (April 2014) in Athens.
